1998 yamaha 1200 xl waverunner?

i have had many issues with this machine, i adjusted the idle and the next time i took the machine out when i was at full throttle after 5 min the machine just died out. engine completely off i just had the screen to show the speed slowing down, the gas gage never worked i dont think this is the issue, i just changed the wear ring and cleaned the impellar last month. at first the machine would not start up so i towed it in. i just tried to start it did i ran it t low idle for 5 minutes took it around gave it full gas and died out, wouldnt start right away but then it did, any help would be apperciated.

Make sure your fuel tank is venting and make sure there are no exhaust leaks in the engine compartment.

if you have good compression on all the cylinders, you need a good fuel system cleaning from stem to stern.
