1999 Chevrolet Suburban CD/Radio

Question

Is it possible to put a 2001-2008 Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon CD Player into a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, without any major modifications?

A 2001 or 2002 vehicle's CD player should go into a '99 Suburban with no problems, unless one of the vehicles has a Bose audio system.  CD players from full-size pickups of those model years will work too.  If the "Theftlock" system on the new radio is activated, then you'll have to enter a code to make the radio work.

The 2003+ full-size pickups and SUV's switched to a data-controlled radio that won't work in a '99 vehicle at all, because there's no data bus system to support it.
