1999 Eclipse Trouble Start and Rough Idle?

Question

Normall my car starts when I turn the key after a second. It takes 3-4 now and idles really rough, normall around 1k, but now 600 or less. It happens at idle or when I come to a stop, fine while driving though. Sometimes it feels that it will die coming to a stop but will jump up. Please help!!

Got a few things to suggest, and hopefully its a help:

1). When was the last time you got this vehicle tuned? By this I mean spark plugs swapped, along with all other unserviceable ignition parts (plug wires, etc.).

2). When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced? If its been over your set mileage (which can vary from vehicle to vehicle) I would replace it.

3). Check the vacuum lines. You would be surprised by the havoc a old, frayed and leaking vacuum line would cause

These are just basics I would suggest to check or look into.
