what are the speaker size for a 1999 c280 for the front and the back

Measure the grills on the fronts and that is the probable size. I'm guessing perfect circle 5.25" and then open your trunk and measure those also. Probably a 6X9 or 6X8 at the smallest.

instead of guessing, go to crutchfield.  They have a car outfitter program and tells you what size speakers and deck will fit the car etc.
