  1. Your brake master clyinder may be leaking or a line may be leaking. Brake lines are steel and have double flared ends. You can not cut the line and fix it with a piece of hose and two hose clamps because this will not holdup to the high pressure of the fluid during braking. It is best to replace the whole line instead of trying of to splice a line togeather. You could check the connections of the lines to see if it is leaking at a connection and you could tighten it up if that is it. If it is a rubber hose that is leaking you will need a whole new hose and make sure it is tightened properly or it will leak. When you are done replacing the lines you will need to bleed the brakes to remove all the air out of the lines. This is done by having a helper press the brake pedal and hold it down while you loosen and tighten the bleeder s***w. There is a bleeder s***w on each brake caliper or wheel cylinder; you need to blleed all four and blleed each one untill no air comes out of the s***w.

Before bleeding the brakes be sure to fill the brake fluid resiver with DOT3 brake fluid and put the cover on. Also be careful not to get any brake fluid on any painted surface;brake fluid is a very effective paint remover.

Any good mechanic will be able to do this for you if you cannot do this yourself. Go to a brake shop and they will likely charge less than a dealorship.

Your car is unsafe to drive as long as it is leaking brake fluid.

  2. Go to a Ford dealer or mechanic and have them look at it.

  3. it is brake tubing (3/16 ") corroded, there is no hose under.Just buy the brake lines, make sure it is bubble flare, with couplings and compression fittings.

  4. don't use compression fittings; replace the whole line.
