my cousins friends dad has a 1999 honda accord sedan four door that he wants to get rid of for, what i heard, about $1600.

1. he was the first owner and it was well maintained.

2. it has about 130,000 miles on it.

3. it was hit on the passenger side doors (not majorly).

4. not sure if it's a four cylinder or v6.

i don't really care for hondas, so i was thinking i could buy the car, fix the doors that were hit and re-sell it.

these cars seem worth way more than $2000.

so here are my questions..

1. how much do you think they're worth (wrecked and not wrecked)?

2. would it be a good idea to re-sell it, and get the money to buy a different car? (vw passat)

thank you.

  1. They're worth at least $5,000 (even with the damage).

I would not sell my Accord for a Passat. Why? Because Passats don't last as long as Accords. So stick with an Accord, because it can last for another ten years.

  2. Well, Maybe.....I think you shouldn't try to make money like this unless you really know more about the cars and fair market values in your area.

Body work can get stupidly expensive too if you hire it out.
