In Vancouver, I'd go for Chinese food, probably the Pink Pearl.

Depends what you want to do!

For my birthdays, and my friend's birthdays, we usually go to dinner then go to a club. Sometimes we'll go to the spa/salon as well for girlie bonding/getting ready.

For dinner I'd suggest a trendy chain place, like Earls or Cactus Club or whatever.

Then hit a club or bar, depending on your mood. If you're into something more casual, I'd suggest the Cellar (top 40/dance music), the Roxy (live music - really fun! the crowd tends to be older though) or the Royal (younger crowd, again top 40/dance). If you want something dressier and more of a s**y atmosphere, try Au Bar or Crush.

Most places will give you a VIP birthday package or whatever - free cover, shooters, something like that. Scope out various places for what's going on each night of the week or if they have events, too.
