checking to see if i did this one right i came up w 52-17=35

  1. No it is not correct because you forgot to fill in the variables (X and Y). "Plug-In" the numbers and re-do the question, it will come out different


  2. 19x+18y+5+18x-8y-17=35

    so first you have to combine like terms add the x's with the x's first.

    19x+18x=37x

    next you add the y's

    18y-8y=10y

    then you should have 37x + 10y +5 - 17=35

    so then add 5-17=-12

    then subtract -12 to the other side of the equation so...basically it's adding 12 to 35=47

    so the FINAL ANSWER= 37x + 10y =47


  3. 19x + 18y + 5 + 18x - 8y - 17 = 35

    37x + 10y = 47

    Solving for x:

    37x = 47 - 10y

    x = (47 - 10y)/37

    Solving for y:

    10y = 47 - 37x

    y = (47 - 37x)/10
