  1. Chickens are considered omnivores. In the wild, they often scratch at the soil to search for seeds, insects and even larger animals such as lizards or young mice. For this purpose they require a small, pointed beak. Depending on its eating habits it has a pointed beak to pick seeds, worms or insects from the ground. A lizard and young mice can also be attacked using the pointed, short beak.

    Eagles are differentiated from other birds of prey mainly by their larger size, more powerful build, and heavier head and bill. Being birds of prey, eagles have very large powerful hooked beaks for tearing flesh from their prey, strong muscular legs, and powerful talons claws. Their sharp and hooked beaks make up the attributes they need to salvage on their prey.
