ANYWAYS, imma lil different. U know theres alot of freshman worried about getting lost, making friends, where to sit at lunch and all that normal stuff. NOT ME. im fine. PROBLEM IS.....!

We have to ride the bus to school for freshman orientation. Im going to a new school that my friends arnt. I wanna know where should i sit on the bus? Next to someone to make a friend so i dont seem like a loner walking in or an empty seat? Front, Middle, or Back (remeber its all freshman there so no upperclassman hounding the backseats) What to do to pass the time at the bus stop since im alone? And im Killer scared imma get on the wrong bus and look stupid and that will wreck my day from the start.

I CANT SLEEP, my stomach is in a war please help me calm down.

  1. Usually for freshman orientation, the  only kids in school are freshman, so therefore, the only kids on the bus are other freshmen.

So just get on your bus, take notice of what number and who the driver is...

trust me, you WONT look stupid if you get on the wrong bus, it happens to alot of kids.

Just sit kind of towards the front, but not in the two first seats.

    you'll be fine.

    :]

Oh and, you DONT have to worry about the seniors. We're more mature then what people think... the only people you have to look out for are the sophmores, because they think they are *so cool* because they're sophmores, and now THEY can pick on the froshies... :]

We all know what it's like for the first day of High school..

My freshmen orientation I went into the WRONG classroom and missed the bus lol.

    but!

so did half the other kids XD

    dont worry!

enjoy high school while it lasts!!!

    it goes SOOO fast!

  2. It's kind of hard to get on the wrong bus. I mean, you'd have to try really really hard to s***w that up.

Usually only 2-3 buses come through, depending on where you live. The Middle school bus (notice the hello kitty pink backpacks...thats the one you dont want to get on.)

and the highschool bus. Thats the one with the people who have beards and b***s. Make sure you get on this one.

Then, maybe theres a special kids bus, or a 'short' bus.

Generally unless you can't recognize numbers 0-9, you will not have any problems getting on the bus. (or unless you're prone to sleeping in) (or are an orphan and have no mother to wake you up at the ungodly hour of 6:12 am to board said bus so you can ride around in aggravatingly slow circles in neighborhoods you don't even have to pick anyone up at for 2 hours and then make it to the school LATE for ***** sake!)

Okay, moving on... do you know anyone in your neighborhood your age at all?

Yes: Congratulations, they'll be your new bus-buddies/ best friends. You wont be able to get rid of them until/if you ever get your drivers license!! Since you've probably known each other all the way from kindergarten up you'll get so sick of them you'll probably end up trying to convince your parents to drive you!!! YAY!

No, but I am not excessively annoying/have some friend making skills: Then you'll get on the bus, ask to sit by some random person who looks just as miserable, and tired as you are and all will be well.

No, but I have 6 legs: This could be a problem. Your extra legs will automatically label you as 'weirdo' or 'octopus'... you will have to fight very hard to convince people that you are just as friendly and nice, despite your sick weird leg problem. Also, good luck finding pants that fit.

  3. okay yea you need 2 do something that'll calm u and break the tension like a hot bath or maybe something that'll get ur mind off of things. And 2nd at orientation just make friends w/ people u relate to and have classes w/. u don't need to avoid seniors cuz nobody in real life treats the freshman like "fresh-meat" like they do on tv. u should also get involved by joining some sort of club or sport that u like or are good at. also bus-wise sit in the general chatting place: the middle cuz that way you can talk and make friends even b4 orientation starts. Also 'd like to wish u the best of luck cuz i kno personally how hard it is to be oh new at a school and bea freshman. but i'm a sophomore now somy freshman days are done. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!! :)

  4. dude, seriously.

    1) DONT CARE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK ABOUT YOU, nobody's opinion matters besides yourself.

    2) lay low for the first couple months, eventually you will find a group of friends to hang out with. choose wisely, don't chose people who won't accept you for who you are.

    3) dont p**s off the seniors.

    4) seriously, don't p**s off the seniors.

  6. First of all - Relax.

Everyone you will be with is in the same situation.  It isn't like you are going somewhere new and everyone already knows each other.  I'm sure others are nervous too.  Just sit wherever - next to a friendly-looking face isn't a bad idea - but not imperative.  Strike up the normal conversations; Where are you from, what dorm are you in, are you involved in a sport or other school activity, what do you want to study, are you nervous - cuz I am?  Things like that.

You will be fine.  I envy you.  I would love to be able to do that again.  Just relax, understand you're all in the same boat, and it is the first day of a new, exciting and fun time.

    Have fun.

  7. sit on the back and ask sumone is this seat taken then start making small talk lol
