Looks like you got a bit lost!  

Anyhow, you can approach this by noting that Cos(2x)/Sin(2x) is equal to Cot(2x), then use another trig identity to turn Cot(2x) into a function of Cot(x)

cot(2x) = (cot(x) - 1/cot(x)) / 2

Now solve for cot(x), then you can solve for x.
