  1. he wont even no that its his birthday y dont you just buy a cake then when u get money put it in  national post office account where u get interest for whnen he is older my daughter is 21months and has over 600 pounds through the o=post office xxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Boys don't look back and worry about these things. My mum had a really lovely baby book when I was tiny and didn't do one for my brother as she had to return to work. She felt guilty about it for so long but in the end he said he really didn't think it was an issue at all. We're both in our 20's.

Try to make his birthday as special as you can. Get your daughter to make paper chains to decorate the house, have lots of balloons, sandwiches and crisps will be a child's perfect birthday tea. If you haven't got a gift yet try to choose something that will be around for sometime like a rocking horse or similar. It's something to look back on and remember when he got it.

Don't worry about the money you spend it's the quality that counts. Good Luck and remember being a mum is about feeling guilty about every choice you make. This is not going to be the only time you feel like this. Do the best you can and recognise that.

    Have fun.

  3. Hi :) Well my twin girls just turned 1, one of my friends had a pool so we had a pool party, cheap balloons a little play area for the kids with toys, and a table for the adults :)

Hope u all have a great time!!!!

  4. don't feel guilty

the best thing you can give him is love and care and that's all your little boy could want...

you don't need a video camera either

you could maybe borrow a camera off a friend?

    a photo would be nice

just have a small but sweet family party with a cake and a normal dinner

but let him know he is the special guy

and that you love him xxxxx

  5. I'm making a dvd slideshow with music of all our pictures of my son from his first year (coming home, bring born, trip to the zoo, first time in the stroller, first bday card)...maybe you could do something like that ...no video camera required ;) also...check the dollar store for gifts...they have books and toys for less than a dollar normally. Best of luck!

  6. BOY OR GIRL?WOW!!!NEW SON!!!!WOW!!!

  7. you can make just as much of a fuss of him with out money-really all a child needs is the love and attention and he will be very happy.

it is a mistake to think that the money and being able to buy him presents is what will make him a happier child.

try giving him extra special attention on his birthday, sing him his favorite songs, play his favorite games and make him laugh as much as possible, believe me that will have the best effect on him, and of course take plenty of pictures and you can show them the pics whens he's older.

  8. He won't know the difference anyway so don't worry about it.  1 year olds don't need presents..they don't even know what presents are.  Gifts don't equal love.

  9. Being 1 as long as you make fuss and go to the park or something like that im sure he will love it.Dont be to hard on yourself your love is enough.

  10. Have a family trip to a park feeding ducks etc go home and make some fairy cakes with a bit of icing on put candles on them Buy a throw away camera take some photos have a nice family time he will love it and lets face it who remembers there first birthday party

  11. have a small party at your home. get people to bring a small plate of food, or contribution, they wont mind if they are family or true freinds. Do you have a digital camera? some have a video function on them. Get guests to bring theirs and they can always upload the videos and email them to you.   To be honest a 1yr old will not remember the party anyway, and something too big can be overwhelming for them. He will love you anyway if he gets to eat chocolate and cake!  kids love balloons, so blow loads up and let him play with them. you could try and find a freecycle group in your area, and request any party items.
