1st baby birthday ideas

My baby's first birthday is coming up. Could you give me any fresh ideas for the menu, theme, dressing baby up, party location..etc

Baby's 1st birthday should be simple.  The baby doesn't know what the celebration is and won;t even remember it.  It's always best to have close family and friends at your home and party there if possible.

My baby will be a year old next week so congrats to you as well!!

We are having her party at Gymboree.  She takes classes there 3 times a week as well and she REALLY enjoys it and enjoys the interaction with the other children.  

The theme is "baby's 1st birthday".  They pretend to roll thru ice cream, cake, toppings, etc... and let the baby have her day.  Check them out for ideas & if they are in your area.

My son really didnt care what happend on his first birthday he didnt know what was going on so dont expect to much.

a good tip is if you order a sheet cake from publix (let them know its your babys 1st birthday), they will give you a small cake for your baby to "dive" in a eat. i would dress casual. maybe have everyone bring books as presents. . .have a book party! that way you can build your childs library!
