I have no idea what to expect with either the baby or the surgery. I have never even broke a bone or had stiches! When i think about Friday its like a giant blank...Every one else is super excited and i feel kind of...numb. Is this normal? i love my baby, but this feels unreal. I think the thought of surgery is affecting my excitement. Any advice would be appreciated!!!

  1. You are perfectly normal. Everyone else isn't getting put under the knife. Your actually being a good mom. If you don't feel comfortable with something you have every right to discover your options. Follow your instincts.

C sections hurt a lot. It's major surgery. Just because we do it all the time doesn't make it easy on mom. If you can buy a little time do. Have the baby's daddy talk to it. In a recent study over 80% of the babies turned when their daddy's asked them to. If dad thinks that's weird then you talk to baby. Babies do respond better to dad though. Your baby could still turn on it's own. Make them check the babies position before the push you into anything.

My mom had four breech babies (including me) before her doctor retired. No one else would deliver a breech baby any way but by c-section. She then had two c sections. It took her longer to recover and she said it hurt a lot worse.
