  1. my first day of high school last year wuz the start of alot of drama. it wuz awsome. ull make new friends. dont worry. ull have fun. i promise.

join yearbook or if ur school has a paper join that.

  2. You'll be fine. Just be yourself. Go there with your favorite outfit on and talk to people. I was worried about finding my way around, but they had a day where the student council helped us find our way around. You'll be fine, it doesn't take long to get used to high school. Good luck.

  3. Don't worry, you will find other friends.Remember high school is HUGE,theres bound to be people you'll get to know and become great friends with!

    Try joining clubs or sports.

  4. look i'm in highschool and i'll tell you know that it really isnt that bad and its not that great. you will miss thembut u will meet way more, and i'm telling you now that most of those people will not be your friends by the end of the year, it is just one of those things that you just have to go though to become mentally older, but i will tell you that talking to your parents and wrighting down what you feel does help, and you will be able to get over it trust me, also you will meet new friends and you still have the weekends so you dnot have to stop hanging out with all your friends, and i'm guessing you have a phone so you can still call them> and you can still talk to them though myspace and email. good luck kid!

  5. You're going to make new ones.  And you CAN see people outside of school, can't you

  6. Trust me. You will make plenty of friends. High School is a lot different then Middle school. At least it was for me. Just keep in touch with your friends, you can still see them outside of school.

    And as for tips..

I just finished my freshman year. (im supposed to be a Junior right now But lets not get into that) ha.

And if your a girl, be careful about the guys you hang around, Trust me. Ive been through it all. ha.

Im sure youll be fine. At my school no one liked freshman, but no one knew I was a freshman so yeah =]

So if they call you a stupid freshman dont take it personally.. Just be yourself and be careful.

    Im sure youll do great!

  7. you'll be a freshman,,,

you'll be the scum of the world.

    congratulations.

  8. you dont really lose friends if they go to a different school, just try to keep in touch and get together whenever

and also make new friends at your new school.. it'll be scary, but high schoolers aren't THAT bad..

  9. umm like u should like start by not saying like, like so many times. lol kidding, but you will be surprised, many ppl change in high school, so the friends you have now, won't probably be ur friends, in fact, you might even be surprised that they were even your friends to begin with.

  10. you'll find new friends TRUST me lol ......freshmen.....

  11. U make new friends.

  12. Well when my friend moved away i just kept talking to him about what was happening like through msn on the phone at school and whatever i geussed that helped him. But your question is how do u cope if all your friends move away hmmm..... well have sleepovers like on the sleepover club and keep talking. That always helps.

  13. Oh, I feel so sad for you.  Only 14 of your 40 friends are going to your high school?  That's so sad.  *be sure to detect the sarcasm, please*

And I'm absolutely positive that you'll make new friends.  You seem like a likable person (having 40 friends and whatnot).  Just be brave!

  14. its all planned out for you, you meet your mates from 8th grade very little interaction with other grades except for PE and Shop if they still have those subjects

  15. I didnt go to my town high school i went to a vocational high school 2 towns over with only knowing 4 people from my town going  there... I was sooooooo nervous the 1st day and i came home and hated it and cried and went back the 2nd day and loved it..... I know its hard to leave your old friends and go to a place where you practically dont know anyone but you'll meet new people.... im 24yrs old now and its been 5yrs last month that i graduated from high school and i thinks 1 of the best decesions ive ever made in my life was to meet new people.... cause when you get to your senior yr it will fly by and that day in may when its seniors last day its gonna hit ya that how special your high school friends really are.... so i know exactly how you feel and i promise you'll be fine.... hey i stayed with more of my high school friends then my town friends....Good luck and you'll do fine... you will be glad you met new people

  16. i really want you to give my the best answer so i would say just call them text them or something along those lines. I really need 10pts.

  17. Maybe you can join like the school newspaper, or I don't know if you have this at your school but at ours we have the year book staff. That way maybe some of your friends will be interested as well and you guys can hang out more often. I used to move a lot and transfer to a ton of schools, I used to get their phone numbers or MSN or IM and we would talk all the time. We also hung out on the weekends, all you have to do is be up to date with contacting them.

    G'luck! =D

  18. ask your friend for there e-mail address so you guy can keep in touch .

  19. It's not bad at all. A little nerve racking, but not bad. I thought it was exciting. You'll make LOTS of new friends, so don't worry. Besides, you'll probably see your other friends at lunch! If not, you guys can always hang out over the weekends! The first day of freshman year was okay for me. All of the freshman are going through and feeling the same things as you, so don't worry! Because of that, you will make new friends on the first day=)

    Tips?

-Don't try to be older than you are.

-Work hard, and keep up the grades. (If I could go back and change one thing, I would try harder in my classes, and keep up my grades!) That way, the last 2 years won't be as stressful=)

-Get involved! It's much more fun..

    - Have an open mind, and make a variety of friends=)

As for groups to join, like you asked-

-If you like to write, sign up for a journalism or newspaper class. At my school, classes write the school newspaper, which is released every two weeks.. there's also a photojournalism, which is basically assigned photography=) All of my friends who took that LOVED it!

-Sign up for volunteering! It's fun to volunteer (and good too) PLUS, it looks good for college=)

-The computer classes are always useful, and so are the foreign language classes! Spanish class was always the most fun, and I made a lot of friends from different grades in that class.

    good luck=]

  20. take the classes that interest you most but get all the boring credits out of the way so twards your last year you only have to do a couple of boring ones and the rest are fun.just make sure to keep in touch with your other friends.call them make plans.

  21. you don't have to stop seeing your friends that are going to other schools. just try to call them up and hang out with them every once in a while, if they're good friends then you guys won't just stop talking because you're going to diffrent schools.

  22. You can see your other friends on weekends right? At the first weekend after school starts, try to have a sleepover or some kind of get together with them, before the real homework and tests start.

As for what you should join, if your school has it, try joining the school newspaper or photography club =D

Don't worry about high school, it's all about how you apply yourself =D

  23. there's so many people at high school that you might forget all about them

  24. you're going to make more friends

and you can stay in touch, you have a computer, right?

    and cell phone.....

    mail....

    visits to there house....

  25. The great thing about highschool, is that you are going to meet so many people, and people that you will just connect with so fast.  I remember I was so scared to go to highschool and my friends all moved.  But I met so many other people in my years there and it was a lot of fun. You are going to have so much fun and meet so many people.

Try to stay in touch with your other friends by emailing and calling. I am sure they are just as bummed as you are. You are a great friend.

I guess just be yourself, because being fake is not going to make you friends, I learned that the hard way. So just be yourself and dont be afraid to try new things out. Take a bunch of art classes, becase those classes always are filled with really cool people.

  26. i mean idk high school on the first day can be pretty rough cause u dont kno everything but if u see people u recognize can prettty much fit in fine but dont try to fit in so much or you'll become a laughing stock idk not that i am im jus saying also too please dont joke about anything that people will think thats real cause people will remember that and bing it up every time for the rest of your years in highschool so jus live it and be calm.

  27. Well, okay.

I've done that twice, in middle school AND high school.

Some of my best friends went to different schools, or had no classes with me at all.

Just try to be friendly and open, and talk to people.

Remember, they might be going through the same thing as you.

  28. i'm going into high school too, but i hear that you get all new friends in high school. like your not even friends with your middle school friends anymore.. so i think you'll be ok. :]
