1st edition of the Celebrity Cricket League starts in India
The first edition of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) T20 tournament commenced here in India yesterday, at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
After a grand opening ceremony, studded with film stars, the curtain raiser game was played between Chennai Rhinos and Telugu Warriors, the former won the match by 21 runs despite rain.
Designed with an idea to prepare a tasty hotchpotch of film and cricket, the league contains players from Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industries that are formally known as Kollywood, Tollywood, Sandalwood and Bollywood respectively.
The tournament includes four teams that will play 7 games. The final will be held on June 12 at http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hyderabad-c792.
The teams playing the tournament are Mumbai Heroes, Chennai Rhinos, Karnataka BullDozers and Telugu Warriors.

The formation of the league and arrangement of the tournament are commendable efforts to accumulate the stars of silver screen at the same place and provide real time entertainment to the cricket and film fans.

The 2nd match of the tournament was also played yesterday night between Mumbai Heroes and Karnataka Bulldozers, the latter won the game by 7 wickets.
