1st or 2nd class stamps?

can i use 1st or 2nd stamps for oversea or air mail from UK to Europe? eg holland,spain,germany...

  1. yes absolutly you can use them and the non value indicator stamps ( they just say 1st or 2nd with no price) are valued at the current 1st class or 2nd class price ie if you put 2 second class stamps on it is worth 2X 27p = 54p.

      look up the price on www.royalmail.com and you should be able to tell how much it will cost you.


  2. Yes - it's the same for internal UK post.  Standard second class stamps count 27p towards the total and the first class 36p.  You make up the difference with other stamps.

    Take a look at www.royalmail.com, which will tell you what you need. You can even buy the appropriate postage online.

  4. It used to be 1st class stamps for all EU countries.

    Now you have to pay more.

    EDIT: If you meant what the poster before me understood - yes you can as long as you make up the full price. I understood you to mean 1st and 2nd class stamps and no extra.
