I'm considering taking Brady (Yes,a QB) as my very first pick to shock some people, because I'm not sold on Peterson yet and LT is slowing down a bit.I get 2 picks after that at #20 and #21 back to back.I can still get 2 good RB's at that time.Good move or not?

  1. stop considering and wise up my friend! Brady hasnt taken a snap in a preseason game this year (not that he really needs it) and having a year like last is unlikely. and of course like everyone is saying running backs win championships, i guarantee you wont like what you see at picks 20,21...get the stud RB in the first...LT is still a stud and yes westbrook an AP are a toss up in my opinion with addai an s jackson following right behind them. when it comes to your second pick check the status of the RB's and WR's....depending how your league has been drafting you should be taking another RB and or a reciever. then look towards the QB's

  2. I'm not buying into Brady & another year of the QB & you shouldn't either. if you need a little help deciding why it is a bad choice you need to look back to the year after the LAST year of the QB (2005). in 2004 Manning had a season similar to what Brady had last year & the next season, while it was still a good stat year... he disappointed fantasy owners who did what you are think of doing now.

RBs win fantasy championships & not getting at least 1 in the top 10-15 picks, you are shooting your self in the foot.

I'm still picking LT at #1 in my leagues when i get the chance

  3. In my opinion it is a terrible move to take Brady.  I have tried a couple mocks and I never am happy with my team when I take Brady 1st or even in the first round at all.  Not only is he way overvalued, but youre losing out on a STUD RB and youre forced to pass up on RBs in the 2nd/3rd cos the WRs are more valuable and then youre starting Thomas Jones and Earnest Graham.

Yea RB is losing power, but you have to think about the affect taking (any) QB in the first will have on the rest of your draft.  You need two solid RB by rd.4 cos its all down hill after that.  If you take a look at any ADP sheet and plan 5 rounds out...with an early pick 1-4, I think the best strategy is RB RB WR WR QB, or QB/WR for the last two if you want to reach for your favorite QB instead of WR in the 4th.  With the late pics 7-10, I would employ RB WR QB RB WR.  These will give you the best variety of quality players at multiple positions, and the ability to take some risk v. reward players at the proper spot and have security at all positions without reaching.

And if you take Brady at 1, you better hope your league lets some monsters slide and your crummy RBs produce.  I always found myself scrambling to make up ground in the middle rounds.

If you like security, take LT.  If you like Ultimate BOOM/bust...take AP.

The BEST THING you can do is mock draft and practice as many scenarios as possible.

    Good luck.

  4. I would take Tomlinson but if you are against him and AP, I would go with Westbrook. If your league gets ppr than Westbrook is aneven better choice. I have Westbrook over Peterson on my draft board.

  5. I'd pick peterson he's a beast. Lt a close second.  Don't pick Brady bad move.
