  2. I agree with the previous answers except in the first question - if there is a current (river or ocean) stronger than the wind the oil slick will move in the direction of current flow. If they are equal and coming from opposite directions the spill would remain stationary.

    However that answer is not on the list. It doesn't hurt to think beyond the question unless your teacher doesn't have an inquiring mind.
