  1. "To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." Steve Prefontaine

i have a time trial on friday and im also just going to try to do the best i can

i know the races are hard and i now feel that only i can do what i can

i mean that run with your heart, if you believe in the work you've put in then just think about showing what you've got

  2. Getting nervous will put you in a bad spot when your in the meet so just take really big deep breaths and that will always give you a little boost. Once you see the finish line, like how my coach says, try to give it all you got and sprint to the finish line or just take longer steps and strides. I wish you the best luck!

  3. Don't be nervous! It will be fun! just don't start out too fast. I would suggest starting out around the middle then make your way to the front if you are able to. try to pass people cuz whenever i do it makes me feel more motivated to keep going. always keep your eyes on the person ahead of you and don't let them get away. definately give it your all at the end even if you feel like you could pass out at any minute becasue that is the last few seconds that you have the chance to pass people! Good Luck!

  4. Dont get nervous at all, take a deep breath and ask yourself im going to finished the race! no matter what place i come in, and run at a good pace and dont get easily distracted by other things
