1st time clomid user, please help!?

Question

When are you supposed to ovulate after taking clomid? I'm taking it days 2-6. My doctor never said and he also said to have s*x everyday. But I keep hearing every other day. HELP!!! Thanks a bunch!!!!

Most of the time with clomid you ovulate late. So ill recommend you to start having s*x 2 days after your last dose of clomid, Every other day and keep doing it  for at least 2 weeks. to be cover. in my case i have to go on Day 13th of my cycle to see if i have eggs. then ill get the trigger shot to make ovulate. I think thats what you are suppoused to do qith clomid.

You should call your Doctot and ask him just to be safe.!

Ovulation should take place 5-10 days after your last dose.  Unless your hubby has a low sperm count, s*x every day is fine!!!

I took mine days 5-9 and ovulated around cd 19 or 20 while on it.  Most can ovulate 5-14 days after the last pill.  I was told my my doctor at the time to have s*x every other day after the last pill.  I am now seeing an RE and we have done 2 treatment cycles using Gonal F (injection med) and I am again told intercourse every other day.  Hubby has an excellent sperm analysis (no issues on his part).  I would go with what your doctor says but maybe ask them why he feels strongly about every day versus every other day.  Best wishes this cycle!!!

Hi i was on clomid and told to take day 2-6 and to start using ovulation kits on day 9 on my first go i ovulated day 14 and my second day 12 and i am now pregnant.. I hope this help and good luck to you

Also i started having s*x every other day from  12 up until day 20 just to make sure i did'nt miss the egg

Dude, your doctor sucks big time if he didn't tell you to buy an ovulation kit to tell you exactly what day to have s*x and to only have s*x on the day the test positive.  Clomid is an exact science and your doctor is winging in.  Call them and ask for another appointment ASAP.  Clomid is not a drug to play with and shold be taken the correct way especially if you really want to have a baby/s anytime soon.  If you just do whatever it won't work.  I took clomid one time and now have 2 year old twins.  My doctor was awesome and didn''t pretend he knew how clomid works.

Ya the doctors recomend s*x every 2/3 days after your period stops. if you go on Babymed.com it will be able to give you around about time when you are suppose to ovulate. i read on pregnancy-testing.com that clomid can effect ovulation prediction test but do not effect pregnancy test... i took clomid days 2-6 for this month and i ovulated CD11 to CD16. so i would asume the same for you.... fingers crossed you are successful this month... i had tuboplasty 2 months ago and and was prescribe clomid so i am hoping so bad
