  1. Well, I would NOT recommend going down Haleakala on a bike.  As some one who lived on the mountain, it is very aggravating to be following the bike tours down, It can also be very dangerous.

There are many better opportunities to see Haleakala- like zip ling, atv rides, and horse back riding.

Snorkeling is amazing, and the cruises are very fun. You are staying on Lahaina side, so you can also take a horseback ride over there. Laying out on the beach and relaxing are fun!

Also, go to a luau! The Royal Lahaina Luau is great! It is worth the extra $15 to get front row seating and first in line for food. They also give you free mai tais and blue hawaiians all night!

  2. ~~Aloha~~You will have a wonderful time. Here is a list of fun things to do . I have 3 kids (12, 14 and 17) that I took last July to Oahu and Maui for 3 weeks, a CANNOT MISS is the Drive to Hana...Enjoy yourself and have a "Blue Hawaii" or a "Mai Tai" for me...LOL

  3. two words...haleakala crater!

they have these tours where you drive up before sunrise and everyone is walking around in bright yellow jackets and pants because it is so FREEZING and you watch the sun come up and it is the most beautiful thing ever...then you bike down hill for a few hours, but you dont pedal you mainly just coast and look at the scenery and you go from 10,000  ft. elevation all the way down to the beach and it is just the most amazing thing ever!!!

and you should go to lahaina, its a really fun surfing/whaling town it has some cool stores and theres a really good restaurant there called cool cat cafe if you like burgers.

    definitely check out the beaches...

if you like golfing, theres a lot of golf courses with really great scenery like at kaanapali

oh and if you like hiking, you could do some hikes to different waterfalls that are really pretty

so those are just some ideas to get you started...

wait one last thing, make sure you have plenty of room on your cameras memory card because you will be taking plenty of pictures!

    have fun! :D

  5. I recommend site seeing and taking a day to go to Hana. Past Hana is the Ohe'o Gulch Seven Sacred Pools.

Surf lessons in Cove Park is great. If there are big waves when you are there watching them ride at Hookipa Beach Park is fun.
