I'm struggling as to what to get my hubby for the 1st year of being married for our anniversary.

I'm thinking of an experience day - go karting what does everyone think? Would he like it?

I also got a oragami kit for us, so we can sit down with some wine and make them together...he used to make me little paper birds when we were going out....do you think this is a good idea?

Also any other ideas?? Or any feedback?

Thanks in advance

  1. The first anniversary is, traditionally, a paper wedding so the oragami kit is excellent. What a wonderful wife you are - I'm sure you can look forward to a BIG gold ingot on your 50th anniversary.

  2. The origami is a great idea since the first anniversary is about paper. I got my husband a journal with 150 questions about our marriage and love that I fill out so he can read the answers then he fills it out about me...kind of just a keepsake that ties in with paper we can hold on to forever.

  3. If you stayed in a hotel for your wedding night why don't you book to stay there for a nice romantic night - you can make oragami all night then.

    Enjoy x

  4. its the hardest thing to think of soz.

worse than valentines day... or the same :P

i pity you on this one

  5. After MANY years of "failed" expectations. . . .I have come to appreciate the simpler things in life.  A "Happy Birthday"; A "Happy Anniversary"; A "Merry Christmas"; etc. etc. expressed in a nice card with a kiss and a hug is all I feel is necessary.  Every day of every person's life SHOULD BE MEMORABLE and CELEBRATED; NOT just a special occasions.  Therefore. . .MY answer is:

A card that says, "Happy Anniversary, Darling", with a hug, kiss, and a PASSIONATE NIGHT OF LOVEMAKING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. that orogami idea is so fricken adorable! i love it! i wish my boy was into that haha. go kating would be absolutely awesome. i also thing you should perhaps get something as a keeper like a piece of jewellery....i know its so typical, but it is your 1st year anniversary and if i was him, id want something that would always be with me to rememebr....thats just me, but your ideas are also great. if he likes driving, you could also get him one of those passes where he gets to drive a race car with an instructor for half an hour. i think that would be awesome....

  7. oragami is good - paper is for first anniversary - karting would depend on him/you - some people love it.

  8. oragami is perfect as 1st year is "paper".  an activity day is grat too - the voucher/brochure/tickets will also be paper which makes good sense!!!! oh - and if we'regoing along the paper route don't forget a good old homemade voucher for a personal massage (or somehing!!!) hee hee have a great one.
