Dan Petrescu has hailed Dynamo Moscow following a hard fought win in the Russian Premier League tie against Alania Vladikavkaz and has backed Kuranyi to score more
Dynamo Moscow climbed up to the 10th spot, for the first time since the start of the Russian Premier League campaign, after turning down newly promoted side 2-0 at Arena Khimki on Saturday.
In aftermath of the outcome, Dan Petrescu has hailed his side’s emphatic display against a stubborn opponent, saying that the hosts outplayed the travelling side in each of the department on the field.
However, the Romanian tactician was quick to admit that his side could have scored more goals, insisting that their 2-0 win did not reflect the true picture.
“We needed a victory after losing against Kuban Krasnodar. We could have scored more goals. Our respected rivals created some moments but we stood firm to protect out lead. I can say that I am very pleased with the result and congratulate
my boys after a well-deserved victory," the former Wisla Krakow boss was quoted as saying.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Kuranyi-c20736, who failed to score more than one goal despite being a regular starter at the Moscow-based club this season, silenced his critics after bagging a superb brace against the Alania snow leopards at the weekend.
Petrescu went on to back the German striker after a superb display, saying that he believed in the former Stuttered striker despite hearing a lot of criticism from the football pundits recently.
“From the very first day when I came to Dynamo, I said that I believe in Kevin and that there is a chance to make things right. Kuranyi is a very good player who works well in training," he concluded.
The Dinamiki, who stayed at the bottom-spot of the league table for quite some time after having their worst start to the season in a decade, managed to claim just one win out of the opening eight games.
However, they altered the situation by recording three wins out the last four matches played domestically. The Musora, meanwhile, managed to reach the Russian cup quarter-finals after defeating FC Khimki 2-1 at home.
