after stopping my birth control around 2 1/2 months ago me and my partner have had unprotected s*x. my first period came 2 months after stopping my pill (mycrogynon 30) and lasted 2-3days. i am now sooooo bloated still though, i look pregnant (according to friends), have done a test and it is negative. has anyone experienced this? if so how long does the bloating last? thanks for any info / personal experiences!!

  1. Getting back to a normal cycle after being on the pill can be a struggle!  I had a lot of bloating for ~10 days each month but no regular period.  My cycle was 40-60 days long after coming off the pill for ~6 months.  I went to the doctor and did a progesterone challenge, where they put you on five days of progesterone and then you should have withdrawl bleeding.  I did, but it didn't help my cycle get back to normal so then I tried Clomid.  I did that for six months and now my cycle is back to normal (31-34 days).  The short answer is everyone is different and my doc told me it's pretty normal to take up to a year to get a regular cycle if you've been on BCP for a long time.  Good luck!
