I am thinking of putting in 2 10's Pioneer TS-W307D2 (dual coil 2 ohms 400rms) or 2 12's Pioneer TS-W257D2 (dual coil 2 ohms 375rms)

I am going to power it with one of these:

Kenwood KAC-8104D 500rms@2ohm $120

Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X10D 600rms@2ohm $170

Kenwood KAC-9103D 900rms@2ohms $170

I already have apline type s comps for highs.

I listen mostly to rap, what setup will give me good SQ and serious bass that will turn heads?

Thanks

  1. I had the older style of the 12" and they are great subs, so I would go with those, but it also depends on your car.

as for the amp, you never want to have an amp that has more RMS than your subs...NEVER, because you can very easily blow your subs, you would much rather have an amp that has less than the peak and/or the same or less than the RMS. You might be ok with the KAC-9103D 900rms@2ohms but i would lean a little more toward the eXcelon KAC-X10D 600rms@2ohm.

  2. I say 12s are better then 10s.. The bigger the area of the subs the harder it hits in most occasions .. I say go for the kenwood KAC-9103D900rms .. You always want the amp to power a little more then what the subs can take. good luck buddy

  3. I would go with the

    2 10's Pioneer TS-W307D2

    Kenwood KAC-9103D 900rms@2ohms

They would be a good match and should sound great.
