  1. Great choice by the way. Each Kicker CVX is 750 rms so that would give you 1500 rms altogether. NEVER EVER EVER go by peak power you are looking for RMS and thats what you listen to constately. You will need a good enclosure to house your subs also, either ported or sealed. My suggesting is ported. Kickers are made for SPL. But to get to your other question, you need a amp that gives you 1500 rms@2ohms to give you the most out of the subs. Bang on man, bang on.

  2. before you do anything, find out how many amps does your alternator makes and how much RMS power it can make.

If you're subs together more then 600 RMS I would check check your alternator power. You will need the HIgh output alternator starts at 200 dollars.

    good luck.

  3. Each sub can handle 500 watts rms which means on a constant basis, 250 watts on each coil, and each sub has two coils so that equals 500 watts per sub. You want an amp that can put out 1000 watts of power on a constant basis so that these subs are running at their max.The way to go is kicker, jl audio, rockford fosgate, mtx. make sure these subs are dual voice coils. What kind of amp is it and what is the model.
