I have 2 kickers in a sealed mephis box that is 3/4" thick. I was wondering what would be the best amp. I was thinking about getting a kenwwod kac-9104d amp. Any suggestions about anything is appreciated. Thank you.

  1. I personally do not like Kenwood amps. But what you wanna do is look at the rms and peak power of the sub woofer. I have comp cvr dvc 12's too but i cant remember what what they can handle. I know i was pushing around 900watts to em. As far as a  ported box vs a sealed thats preference too. A ported box is going to be louder because there is pressure being released from the box, but you have poor sound quality. A sealed is not as loud but alot better sound quality. You wanna be careful if you set up a sealed and decide to switch to a port box because you dont want to run as much power to a port box. You might blow the subs.

The sub woofer i would probably choose is the Alpine type R. They are gonna be the best built sub out of those 3. Although i am verry impressed by the comp cvr's.

P.S. STAY AWAY FROM ANY OF THE NEW RF P SERIES.  THEY SUCK. The t1's are ok the T2's are good.
