Not sure why, but when i have it bridged (how is shows on the amp...) it will cut in and out. Not really sure if its protection cause the amp doesn't turn off... just the base cuts in and out. I have tried turning the gain down and turned the bass boost off but still would cut out....But when don't have it bridged it works fine and sounds great. But, i still think if i could get it bridged it would sound alot better.

Any ideas?

  1. those subs are dual coil at 2 ohms each, i looked at the specs on that amp you have and your only wiring option is to wire the one subs in series to get 4 ohms and hook that sub to the left channel, do the same to the other sub and hook it to the right channel. only way to run your amp in bridged mode is to buy 2 more subs(total of 4) wired all parallel to eachother and this will create a safe 4 ohm load to use on the amp. if you do the series wiring with your subs to the left and right channel you will get as the web says 400 RMS x's 2, if you get the 2 other subs(4 total) you can get the 1600RMS at 4 ohms in bridged!
