I am a master's student in aerospace engineering (on expired
leave) at the California State University, Long Beach (99-00).
To those who are aviation-oriented or engaged in aeronautics,
can you help us here in the Philippines establish genuine aeronautical education?
I am proposing to my government the establishment of the DAEDALVS, The Davao Aeronautical Technological School, an aeronautics specialty state college to be situated at the old Davao (Philippines) Airport. But I got scant interest from my government who have continually neglected to address the upliftment of the quality of aeronautical education in my country.
My message is for those out there who are concerned. Although we have aviation (activities of finished aircraft) here
in the Philippines, the state-of-the-art of Philippine Aeronautics is still in the Interregnum in Aeronautical Development or the period between the first balloon flight of the French Montgolfier brothers (1783) and the Wright Brothers (1903).
