  1. well the answer is hardly ne

if u need to add..ADD RAM ne day..and graphics memory..the processor speed is a bit of  a farce

overclocking u should avoid unless ur an geek urself

  2. there would be a very noticeable difference...but it might not be worth it, you may have to change the voltage going into it, and that can, int he worst case scenario, fry it, and in the best case it will make it run hotter, you may not need to do that to get to 3.2 GHz, but get a very good CPU cooler, stock just wont cut it, you may also need to overclock the FSB (front side bus), it may just run too hot though, in fact you might even fry it. still I don't see why you'd need to overclock a quad core, those things are much faster than any dual core or single core processor will ever be.

  3. there is quite a big defenrence and well worth ovecloking your cpu as it incrases you computers speed, and your computer is faster for free, but make sure you don't have the stock intel cooler you are going to need quite a dencent cpu cooler to take that ghz

    hope this helps

  4. Overclocking... well, if you're jumping 800Mhz, there would be a notable difference.  However, to get that huge jump, you're likely to need a hefty cooling system.  Don't just expect to get an extra 800Mhz from a stock heatsink, it won't work.  As far as if it's worth it, it depends on what you're willing to spend and what compromises you're willing to make.  Some overclocks will not be stable and various differences in chips can mean that some overclock better than others.

As far as if it's worth it, well an extra 800Mhz is notable jump.  However, with that extra speed comes extra power/heat/noise.  Plus, what other apps are you going to be running that needs all that power?  If you're into gaming, it might be worthwhile.  If you just do normal stuff, it's probably not worth the trouble.

  5. You can safely overclock that cpu to 3.0ghz with out having to worry about anything.

Yes you do notice a big difference.

  6. If you feel comfortable overclocking then it can't hurt, It'll increase performance, and it's a simple as changing the FSB. Don't jump right to 3.2 though, do it in small increments to make sure everything is stable. Also, if you do want to overclock, make sure you have aftermarket cooling, as stock cooling won't do so well at 3.2GHz and you will run into heating problems. You don't have to be a geek to overclock, but it can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

Also, as far as overclocking damaging the CPU, that can be true, but if you do it right, then who cares if it shortens the lifespan from 15 years to 10? Are you really going to use it for that long? No.

  7. Na its not worth overclocking cos it damages the CPU and voids the warranty. there should'nt be too much of a diffrence and is it a dual or quad core cos dat makes a big dif.
