2.7 Engine on Charger give problems??

Question

i have a 2004 f-150 5.4 and owe $13000. but want to trade for a 2008 charger with 24000 miles. my father spoke with the mechanic who advised him it was not a good trade because a 2.7 engine id too small for a charger and will mess up in a year or so, even though its a 2008... is it true? and if not how can i convince my dada to get my dream car that i WILL pay for it?

2.7 Engine is not meant for a charger if you want a charger you have to at least get a 5.7 otherwise many other cars are out there that are nice and have power

but the 2.7  engine will eventually give you problems the car is too heavy for the engine
