I just installed four polk speakers in my 2006 Nissan Sentra SER Spec-V. I installed a set of DB-6501 component speakers in the front and DB-651 in the back. The DB-6501 speakers and tweeters are rated at 100 watts RMS and 300 watts peak. The DB-651 are rated at 60 watts RMS and 180 peak. What kind of amplifer would I need and what would the wattage be? I was lookiing at an amp that had 75 watts RMS but im not sure if that would work. Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

  1. No problem

people do it all the time and it will work

basically, 2 channel amps are stronger and less expensive then 4 channel amps.

Take care not to use a Mono block, as this type of amp is Bass Only application.

most 4 channel is 50x4 rms

most 2 channel are stronger then that and a lower price.

You will not get front rear fading but who ever used a fader?

at least you keep left/right stereo and thats all you need

  2. JP is right but you can use one side for the front and the other side for the back and then you will have front and back fader it will just say left and right but you wont have left and right fader. lol
