My husband and I are travelling to Ireland in May. We only have 2 days in Dublin. What should we see? We definitely want to see the Guiness Brewery and St. Stephen's Green. Any other recommendations? We need a few recommendations on places to eat also!

  1. There isn't a lot to see in dublin unless you are interested in the history. If you are you can visit sites like the Four Courts, The GPO, Dublin Castle, the customs House and other such sites associated with the 1916 Rising. You can visit the grounds of Trinity College, where a lot of eminent poets and literary genius's attended (me not being one of them). There is a military museum straight across the river from St James Gate(the Guinness brewary) and another museum of sorts at Kilmaneham Gaol. A must see place is Glasnevin Cemetary, where a lot of famous Irish people are burried and close by to that are the botanical gardens. As you walk around, keep your eyes open for plaques indicating buildings of historical interest.

  2. I'd see it in the rear-view mirror as I headed off to the West Coast.

  3. The long room in Trinity college and the book of kells are well worth seeing.  I've attached a site which may help you decide.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Born and rared in Dublin and so much to do. Probably stick around the Temple Bar area at night, that's where all the nightlife is at. That's just by the quays on the River Liffey.

If you want to go shopping stick to Henry Street or Grafton Street (better shops, more expensive). You're going to Guinness and so you'll be on the South Side so maybe head over to St. Patrick's Cathedral. Visit St. Stephen's Green up by Grafton Street or look for some good shows.

So much always happening in Dublin City, you can't miss the fun whatever you do.

  5. Why not try these sites for a few ideas ... Enjoy Dublin its a great city
