My hubby and I will be arriving in CDG at 6:15 am on June 3, 2008. We will then fly to Venice on June 5. I need help with the itinerary for our 2 days in Paris. I would like to cover Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Cathedral etc.

We will be staying in Montparnasse.

One other thing..we wanted to see Moulin Rouge but the only tickets available for June 3 and 4 are 11pm shows. Show we pass the show this time or is it really worth going so late.

Please help and thanks in advance !!!

I'm really excited to go to Paris, it has been my childhood dream :-) ( BTW: Hubby and I are in late 20s)

  1. Skip the Moulin Rouge. It is a waste of time and money unless you are a big fan of Las Vegas style shows whose principle attraction is bare breasted dancers.

Paris is a very compact city with the best public transit system in the world. While two days is a very short time to see such a culturally and historically rich place you can do a pretty fair job of seeing most of the big tourist sights in that time. What will probably have to be bypassed is anything more than a fleeting glance at the museums since any one of them could easily absorb a full day by itself.

Send me your e-mail address and I can formulate a detailed itinerary for you.

  2. The only thing  will tell you is to stay in Arr 2 or 3! There you will find ALL you need! And I mean EVERYTHING river food shops (open on Sundays) most of Paris closes on Sunday except this area Arr 3
