My best friend of 20+ years (g*y) and I (straight) went to one of those all you can eat Chinese restaurants tonight and when we got our fortune cookies, they were the same fortune. Different lucky numbers and different learn Chinese words, was also printed in different ink color. Fortune read: " Stop searching forever, Happiness is just next to you." But whats the chances that we would get the same fortune? Theres like a billion different ones out there.

  1. Was there anyone else in the restaurant that could have been the one?

  2. Chances are probably better than you would think. My wife and I eat take-out Chinese about twice a week and I have seen 2 fortunes that have had a repeat. Now thats over the span of a year and a half. To have two go to the same table and be the same fortune would make it somewhat difficult. It could be a "sign". Haha good luck with your fortune.

  3. wow thats weird.....maybe you 2 are meant for eatchother? lol ( no offense )

  4. Honestly? It depends on the vendor that the restaurant is using, where they purchase their cookies.

One night, 12 of us went together (3 couples & our kids) and 8 of us had the same fortune. At first we got a little freaked..I mean 75% of the people had the same fortune? And then the people at the next table overheard and showed us that they had one as well. I think it's more of when the cookies don't get mixed very well before being packaged at the factory.
