Right I have 1pc linked to a Virgin Media modem and a Belkin Router connected to that as I run the PS3 on that as well.

My problem is that if I run ipconfig/all the IP address 192.168.2.6

But I cannot log on to this page! However to log on to router homepage if I use 192.168.2.2 i get on no problem!

My internet works fine and the PS3 network works fine! But any file sharing program I choose is Blocked! and as it looks like ive 2 ip's I cannot set up port forwarding properly!

Any Ideas!

  1. It looks as if 192.168.2.6 is your internal IP. You don't go there to forward ports, as that is your IP. That is, however, the IP you'd use when forwarding ports.

192.168.2.2 is your router, and therefore, your gateway to the internet. Use this IP to get to your router settings and proceed to port forward from there.

When port forwarding, it will ask you what IP address to forward ports to. Usually, it will ask like this...

    192.168.2.(Blank Box)

In that box, you would enter 6, as the last number for your IP address is 6.
