2 Minors and an 18 yr old cross US border?

My 2 friends, want to cross the Canadian/US border. Thing is, their only 16. They'll be 17 when they do, but' i'll be 18. My question is, can they travel with me? They aren't allowed by their parents w/o me. Anyway, is it legal? What kind of documents do I need, and above all..

If anything happens to them, will I be in legal trouble?

They can cross the boarder with you, however all three of you will need US passports.  They can get you into legal trouble if they comit a crime while with such as under age drinking.

Yes, but their parents need to write letters of permission for them.  Letters must be signed by both parents and notarized.  See sites below.
