I recently had some help from my father to purchase a new vehicle, and I need to get rid of it to get some money for bills, and buy a cheaper vehicle. There is no lien on it, but his name and mine are on it. I know if it has the "and" / "or" what to do, but if it doesn't have either one......how do you work that? does he still have to sign the title? Or, can I just sign it? My name is listed first, and his second. Please help ASAP! We are in Texas

  1. No matter what, if there's no 'or', both need to sign off

  2. I've never heard of having two names listed without an "and" and without an "or" but if you came to my DMV window, I would require both signatures

  3. Yes, in TX if there are two names on the title you ALWAYS have to have both signatures to sell the vehicle.  TX does not put and/or on their titles.
