Question:

2 Stops without info about destination(s) does that mean I stay in same airplane until my final destination?

I am flying with southwest airlines and the flight has 2 stops but it doesn't give me any information about where those stops are. Does that mean that I will stay in the same airplane until my final destination? I never had that "problem" before. Thanks for your help :-)

  1. Yes, it usually means that you are scheduled to stay on the same plane. (That's not always true. United, for example, frequently disguises connecting flights by assigning them a single flight number. However, Southwest does not do that.)

There is always a small chance that you'll still have to change aircraft at an intermediate point. Occasionally, airlines have to pull a plane out of service for maintenance. However, the chances of that are small.

  2. My Second Mom works at HQ at Southwest. I use her passes and since we fly out of Dallas, on the flight plans like yours means that it is same plane service. Due to lack of pass. to do a full flight back and forth from the first destination. If you have to switch planes then it would be due to overbooking(where you would get on a bigger 737 aircraft) or the plane you are on has broke-down. Then its a simple aircraft swap.

  3. ask the scedule from the official or it may be written on the ticket how they will drop you at your destination
