  6. I am a special education teacher who works with students with all levels of ability.  The best advice that I can give you is to be consistent.  I believe that when any child knows what to expect of someone else and what is expected of them and those expectations stay consistent then you are likely to have fewer behavior problems.  Keep in mind that most, not all, students will disabilities also present some form of behavior issues.  This is generally do to their level of frustration of not being able to understand or do the work.  Think outside the box.  Do what is best for each kid, yes, that means you are stretched most days, but if you are in education then your first priority should be your students.
