  1. When I went to Lord's in May I visited the museum, the bars (there are quite a few!), the picnic area, the gift-shops and the practice nets. Here's my picture of Vettori having a practice:

I would have loved to have seen the Long Room (which is in the pavilion and has lots of portraits), the dressing rooms and the honours boards but since there was a match on I didn't get the opportunity.

Edit: Oh okay after the match. I'd go to a West end theatre, go to Madame Tussaud's the wax work place (because I've never been and it's not that far from Lord's), Bond and Regent Streets for the shopping (even though everything is ridiculously overpriced), Hyde Park, and then go look round some of the antique furniture shops and markets.

  2. I don't like london, but if its the first time to London then visit the Palace, Madam Tussauds, London Eye, etc...

once visited, then from the next time you just want to find a good pub...

  3. This is a light hearted answer, but if I were watching the test match, then it would mean I was at the cricket ground, so I would visit the snackbar/canteen, the drinks bar, the players room, the practice nets & the restrooms.

However, if you mean where would I visit in London, I would see Piccadilly Circus, Harrods Store,The Tower of London, Buckingham palace & an English pub.

  4. The Houses of Parliament

    Buckingham Palace

    Legoland Windsor

Lots of second hand record shops in Soho and Notting Hill Gate (you'd be amazed at what you can find)

And an out of town trip to Stratford-upon-Avon. Home of the Bard. If you've never been, I highly recommend it. Even as a tough, insensitive Northerner, I love the place! And David Tennant is p,aying Hamlet from the nend of July at the Courtyard Theatre.

NB. I am not really insensitive. But I am tough. Mentally if not physically!

Edit: And as I have spent an evening 'raising h**l' I am not sure if anything i say tonight will make sense! A case of 'The Oracle' meeting 'Dionysus' So forgive me if me answers arte a liitle 'strange'.
