  1. it depends if the speaker is DVC (dual voice coil) provided the amps are the same wattage you hook them to each coil but two amps to a single coil can damage the speaker causing negative impedance or simply locking up the sub blowing one or both of your amps

  2. Nope actually you cant do that its not a good idea your best bet would be to try and get one amp that will push your sub. if one of those amps arent big enough maybe you should try and sell them and get a larger one. hope this helps.

  3. if the amplifier allows you to set them to "master" and "slave" then follow the manufacturer's instructions. this would be the safest way to do it because both amps will have the same exact settings. its basically taking 2 amps and "making" one.

also, both amps need to be the same exact model.

if not, then you need the subwoofer to have dual voice coils. you would connect a +- on the sub to one amp, and the other +- from the other voice coil to the other amp. but the VERY important thing here is that BOTH amps need to have the exact settings. failure to do this will result in a blown subwoofer because one side of the sub will be getting a type of frequency and the other might get higher or lower frequency.

the safe way is just buying an amplifier that would produce the correct watts to the sub.

  4. it can work but each amp needs to go to each side of the dual voice coil sub running Mono. only one pos/neg from each amp to the spkr's inputs, you can and should measure the leads outputs with a multimeter digital/to make both out put levels the same to the Dual voice coil sub.

  5. It makes everything SO much easier when you just hook up one amp.  That way, you only have one amp to tune.

It gets complicated tuning to amps, as well as a pain in the butt to install.  To be frank, i don't know how to install two amps to one sub.

  6. You probably don't need two amps for one sub. It depends on the watts the amps have, and the watts the sub needs. I would just go for one amp.

  7. listen to cyniclos, it can ONLY be done if the amps can be "strapped" to each other to power one sub

if the amp is "strap-able" it usually a simple wire that connects the two amps
