2 bans offend darts fans as PDC takes action, World Matchplay begins July 21!
PDC has imposed 2 bans regarding the incident that took place at the UK Open final between Phil Taylor and Robert Thornton.
At the UK Open final, a spectator jumped off the security barrel and tried to get to the stage. This incident was taken as an offense by the PDC and it has issued a 5-year ban to the spectator from attending PDC events.
Moreover, the PDC has issued another three year ban on the person who bought the tickets for the group causing havoc at the UK Open final.
Such incidents have caused misery for darts fans, as they have taken this ban as an offence.
PDC, however, has brought up security issues as a reason for the proposed bans and has emphasised that the bans would secure future happenings of this sort.
On the other hand, World Matchplay hits July 21 as the darts magic ignites again. It has been an amazing year for darts, as the sport has never been this exciting.
A new rivalry has appeared after the UK Open final. Phil Taylor and Robert Thornton are the two names which will act as the fuel for the World Matchplay’s ignition. It is yet to be seen who among the two will come out stronger this time.
It was an unbelievable sight at the UK Open when Thornton lifted the UK Open trophy sky high, after defeating a global phenomenon, Phil “The Power” Taylor.
Adrian Lewis and Simon Whitlock remained disappointing as they made early exits. Whitlock was a star act at the McCoy’s Premier League after his battle against “The Jackpot”.
“The Wizard” pushed him out of the Premier League with a bulk of passion and aggressiveness. Whitlock was seen as the best pick to win at the UK Open but that was just a word in the air, as he failed to reach the finals.
The World Matchplay is an important event and holds the career of numerous players. It is time for Lewis, Whitlock and Taylor to get a grip on their game and hit the dart board with precision, as the newcomers have been dominating legends.
