2 bottles of castor oil and still nothing

i heard it works good,but all it did was give my niece the s***s! and bad cramps and alot of tightening. what else is there to do??

why in the world would you even consider risking your child over trying to induce labor???  You need to talk to your dr and inform him of how much you took that way he can be ready to deliver a child that could easily come down with pneumonia because the baby aspirated muconium do to ignorance.

Try having s*x or walking to induce labor. I have heard bad things about castor oil, and if I were you I wouldn't take any more.

Tell her to go on a walk, just a long leisurely walk. If she does it everyday it is supposed to induce labor sooner. But truth be told, a baby will only come when it is ready, or the doctor does it. Hope this helps.

you did it wrong i did the same thing and my daughter was born the next day. she was supposed to take 2 tablespoons of the castor oil. but it has to be warmed up. then drink a hot coke right after and start walkin. IT WILL WORK PROMISE. i did it 3 months ago.

Well you better keep a ********* in lol... You are going to be on the toilet off and on for a while.Don take it anymore.You can get dehydrated from that. If you are trying to go into labor I don't know how far you are.Try walking or s*x.. Good luck with everything

Castor oil works good if baby is ready to come, if labor is really ready. I tried castor oil twice with my last baby (7 months old now), I didnt want to have him on Christmas. I tried at 38 weeks and 39 weeks. All I got were the poops, bad cramps, and contractions that were not regular at all. My baby ended up coming on Christmas morning. I am convinced that babies will only come when they are ready. Please ignore the ignorant comments about castor oil being bad. My doc recommended me trying, midwives across the country recommend it, in addition I worked for a 20 doctor OB/GYN practice for 5 years that recommended it. Some people dont need to believe everything that they read on the internet. Good Luck to your neice, make sure she is drinking fluids when taking castor oil
