Ok.. so I have a linksys befw11s4 router..

My DSL plugged into it...

And 2 computers set up...

All on 1 IP address.

My question is...

I have two computers, and both I and my roommate play an online game which only allows use by 1 IP per account.

So when I go to whatismyip.com and get the external IP, thats what the game site is seeing as well, is there anyway to change that so that both computers register with different IP's?

If so please help!

  1. Not that I know of. Not unless you want each computer to have a different ISP. But, most games usually have the option of having more than one charactor. If this is the case, make a new charactor and each one of you can have your own seperate files.

  2. Well this may slow down your speed but you could always run a US proxy ip address on only one of your pc's.  This will allow you to have different IP's but may slow the performance of the proxied pc way down.  Search google for puplic proxy server ip address
