2 days in geneva, help me to plan a trip....?

we 3 friends r planning a 2 day trip to geneva(swiss) from 24th dec. we would like to see as much as we can, including mountains , sceneries... could any one suggest some routes ? which is the cheapest way of transportation? is there anything like travel card of so? is there any special events during the xmas days ?
