I was wonder, currently I have Corsair Ram (2x 1G) at 2-3-3-6, and I want to upgrade to 4 gb. Would it wise to get another of the same Corsair Ram (same exact model), or would installing another type of ram in addition to the Corsair be any different? I have found OCZ ram (2x 1GB) thats 2-3-2-5.

  1. You could run into single bit memory errors the Cas latency timing is off. I'd try to stay with the same ram in your rig..

  2. As long as it's the same RAM type i.e. DDR2 800, the timing values SHOULDN'T matter and they SHOULD work fine together.

Notice the word should. There is a chance problems will occur.
