  1. Cramps are a sign of pregnancy. If you have a faint line you are pregnant. If you are bleeding call the doctor right away, you could be having a miscarriage. Call your dr.

  2. Hi.  I've never heard of cramps being a sign of pregnancy.  In fact, I've had three miscarriages, and whenever I've called the doctor, the first question they ask is "are you have cramps?", which they have always said indicates the probability of a miscarriage.  If you get a line, no matter how faint, you are more than likely pregnant.  However, it's the amount of blood and the cramping that are important.  Usually, if the blood is minimal and is of a tan / brown color, they call that "old" blood and it could very well be from implantation.  If it is red / pink and heavy (soaking a pad within an hour), it usually indicates a miscarrige.  I am 12 weeks right now, and at about 7 weeks, I was spotting red.  Thought for sure I was miscarrying, but it was very minimal (only visible on the toilet paper), and happened only about every 12 hours for two days.  I didn't have any cramps, though, and it turned out everything was fine.  The thing is, you should know soon, either way.  If it suddenly stops, you're probably fine.  If it is a miscarriage, it will get heavier fairly quickly.  Either way, you should call your doctor.  I wish you the VERY best of luck.
