One cat is timid the other seeks/hunts the other out then a fight breaks

loose, is this cat just trying to play and the timid cat thinks it is aggression towards it. If I try and put the timid cat near the other one

she growles and hisses.

  1. Leave them alone they are sorting out who is dominate over the other after they fight it out things will go smoothly we have 3 cats 2 dogs and 3 boys so you have to just let them be sometimes

  2. This has started happening with my two cats - and the timid one is actually sick, but you can't tell it by looking at her.  Sometimes, cats will attack sick cats.

If you have had the timid cat checked out recently (and timid cat has no other symptoms) then I would just keep them in separate rooms for a while and watch the behavior of each, see if either of them is acting differently than they used to.

And don't put the timid cat near the aggressive one - if Timid feels endangered by Aggressive, your forcing her into Aggressive's area would make her feel like you are endangering her.

    Good luck!
